Going Bald Gracefully

So one day I was with a girlfriend of mine and she had to go into the drugstore real quick, so I just stayed in the car to wait for her. While I was sitting there, I saw a man outside and I started laughing (really laughing). This man had a very receding hairline in the front. The front of his hair to his earline was butched, and the back of his hair was in a long ponytail. Come on, I know you’ve seen this look, we do live in Vermont. Anyway, I so wanted to go up to him and give him my card and ask him who it was who’s been lying to him and telling him that that was a good look for him. I felt just awful for him. I really don’t know what goes through a mans head when he decides to do something like that. Look I know I am not the only person who thinks this. Oh, and shall I bring up Mr. Donald Trumpp? Well I really don’t have to say much about that. Here is a man with an unbelievable amount of money, power and fame and look at his hair. People have been commenting on it for years, and still he continues to wear it like that (come on Donald!) I’m sure you can look around you and see what I’m talking about. Comb overs, ponytails, circus clown looks are everywhere. Those poor men just have to be told, or shown that when it comes to balding, LESS IS MORE!!!!! Take it down gentlemen and feel liberated and look younger. Trust me, you’ll feel much better about yourself.

At Home Colorists

Sometimes I absolutely love going into the drug stores and walking by the haircolor isle. I get to listen to women talk back and forth about what color they should do, or someone looking very lost looking at all those boxes of colors not quite sure what color to get. The reason I like this so much is that I, as a color specialist, find this very lucrative, because I charge $100.00 an hour to fix what the box says is easy for anyone to do. These messed up colors! Let me give you a few words of advice. When you want to color your own hair, stay realistic with the amount of hair levels that you want to change. Store-bought colors only go up 2 levels. For example, if you’re a dark brown you should only go up to a medium to light brown. If you desire to go any lighter than you need to save yourself some money and call a professional. I also want to tell you that if you pick a color and you like it, stick with it. When you do your regrowth, only do the roots. If you continue to pull the color through, it will only succeed in darkening it, because the rule of color is that, color over color goes darker. This is why you see women walking around with bright roots and dark ends; not a pretty sight. Listen, my biggest suggestion when wanting your hair colored is please go to a professional to save alot of time, embarrassment, and quite possibly, money.
